To get access to the online pages of the central user administration, you have to authenticate yourself with your university ID, your university password, and a one-time password.
If you have a personal digital ID, please use this link. This link only works if you have previously imported your digital ID into your browser, see our guides.
If you are unable to use this method, please note the following information.
If you have lost your university ID, please enter your matriculation number, your email address, or your given name and surname instead. After successful login you usiversity ID is displayed.
If you have lost only your university password and if you have given your current phone number for SMS in the IT-Portal, then please leave the “University password” input field above empty and instead enter your network access password or the answer to your control question stored in the “Do not fill in” field. (If you do not remember the control question, enter only your university ID above and it will be displayed.) You will then receive a special password by text message to that phone number, which you can use to log in and set up a new university password.
If you have lost only your one-time password generators and if you have given your current phone number for SMS in the IT-Portal, then please leave the “One-time password” input field above empty and instead enter your network access password or the answer to your control question stored in the “Do not fill in” field. (If you do not remember the control question, enter only your university ID above and it will be displayed.) You will then receive a special one-time password by text message to that phone number, which you can use to log in and set up a new one-time password generator.
If you have lost only your net access password, then you can login as usual above and then simply set a new net access password.
If you have lost both your university password and your one-time password generators, or if you have not given your current phone number for SMS in the IT-Portal, or in any other case, then please come to our service counter. There you will receive new access data on presentation of your identity card or passport.
If this is not possible due to a stay abroad, for health reasons or for other cogent reasons, please contact the CIT hotline so that we can look for solutions together.
